Armed with this knowledge, teachers can offer safe spaces for youth to explore and test their emerging ideas of who they are and who they want to become."

As student bodies continue to evolve and demographics change; there is a continuous pressure on academic institutions to have mastery of their subjects; but also, to understand their students.

"Teachers can help youth manage these learning experiences through a hybrid teaching style and active listening. Helping youth feel like they belong and have safe places to learn. This is especially important for middle school contexts, in which young adolescents are especially vulnerable to disengagement from school."

Quality in education relates to the quality of the work undertaken by a teacher. Which has significant impact on their students. Because the world that teachers are preparing young people to enter is changing so rapidly, and the teaching skills required are evolving likewise. No initial course of teacher education is sufficient to fully prepare a teacher.
